RODRIGO VÁZQUEZ MAYA

Executive Director

A graduate of the National School of Folk Dance of the INBA (National Institute of Fine Arts) and of the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo with a degree in Dramatic Arts with an emphasis on Scenic Direction. He was a member of the Folkloric Ballet of Mexico directed by Amalia Hernández, where he worked as a member of the troupe and as a soloist. In addition, he was also part of the National Company of Classic Dance and the National Company of Folkloric Dance.

 

As an actor he has worked under the guidance of various directors such as: Manuel Poncelis, Jesús Islas, and Claudio Valdés Kuri. He has choreographed different stage works including: Sicalipsis, El convento by Manuel Poncelis; Calderon de la Barca’s Life is a dream, directed by Claudio Valdés Kuri; and Evocantes by Francisco Arrieta. He has been assistant director to Claudio Valdeś Kuri in works such as Insect Play, Joan of Arc at the Stake, Lower your Voice, Artaud in a Thousand Pieces, and Triple Concert.
